The OPTIMIZER RMI 1425A is a portable system for measuring both Doppler and Grey Scale systems. This instrument consists of a flow system, tissue mimicking phantom and electronic flow controller. The tissue mimicking gel and blood mimicking fluid are ultrasonically similar to human tissue. This allows the use of normal scanner control settings and ensures that the performance measured with the phantom closely approximates the scanner's performance in a clinical examination.
The micro-processor based flow controller produces flow rates of 1 - 12.5 ml/s and velocities of 10 - 125 cm/s. The display panel features five programmable performance flow rates/velocities and five preset pulsatile profiles. The phantom also contains targets for standard B-mode tests.
