The Multi-Purpose Tissue Mimicking Phantom RMI 403 is one of the new generation of precision phantoms designed to evaluate high resolution ultrasound systems. Recent feature improvements have made the RMI 403 a highly effective instrument for demonstrating superior image quality while challenging high performance ultrasound systems.
With extended target depths, this phantom provides greater scanner and transducer performance tests of resolution, depth of penetration and electronic caliper measurements. Resolution patterns and all vertical and horizontal targets are constructed of 0.1 mm nylon fiber. Three sets of axial resolution targets at depths of 3, 8 and 14 cm and spaced at 2.0, 1.0, 0.5 and 0.25 mm make the RMI 403 more effective for demonstrating higher resolution detail and challenge the ultrasound system's resolution capability.
